This set of six Comet conference chairs was designed by Gunilla Allard for the renowned Swedish manufacturer Lammhults in the 1990s. One of the designer’s most celebrated creations, the model is an excellent example of contemporary Scandinavian design, combining minimalist aesthetics with outstanding functionality.
The chairs’ distinctive, slender silhouettes are complemented by lightweight five-star polished aluminium swivel bases fitted with castors. The ergonomically shaped seats and backrests provide excellent seating comfort, while the elegant aluminium armrests with black pads emphasize the refined, architectural character of the design.
Gunilla Allard’s design is distinguished by its clean lines, carefully balanced proportions and timeless appearance, allowing the Comet chairs to integrate effortlessly into contemporary conference rooms, office interiors and modernist living or working spaces.
The chairs have undergone a comprehensive professional upholstery restoration. The foam padding has been replaced, and the seats and backrests have been upholstered in high-quality black fabric. The aluminium elements have been professionally cleaned and polished, restoring their original appearance and elegant finish.
