Mid-Century Teak Round Extending Dining Table, Denmark, 1960s

1,990.00

This extending dining table was manufactured in Denmark during the 1960s. The piece is distinguished by its timeless design, characteristic of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern furniture. Its harmonious proportions, elegantly shaped tabletop with a substantial solid edge, and refined pedestal base with four splayed legs give the table a light and timeless appearance.

Crafted from teak wood and teak veneer with beautiful natural grain, the table has undergone comprehensive woodworking restoration. The wood was stripped of the old coating, stained in an oak colour, and finished with a durable semi-matt lacquer, enhancing the natural beauty of the grain while providing excellent resistance for everyday use.

The table features two extension leaves, allowing its diameter to be easily increased from 120 cm to 170 cm, or to a maximum of 220 cm, making it ideal for accommodating a larger number of guests. The stable central pedestal provides generous legroom and ensures excellent seating comfort.

The underside of the tabletop retains its original “Made in Denmark” stamp, confirming the table’s Danish origin.
