Mid-Century Teak Extending Dining Table by A.H. McIntosh & Co., United Kingdom, 1960s

1,290.00

This extending dining table was manufactured by the Scottish furniture maker A.H. McIntosh & Co. during the 1960s. The model is distinguished by its elegant, lightweight form and timeless design, characteristic of British Mid-Century Modern furniture. The slender tapered legs and subtly sculpted apron give the table a refined sense of visual lightness and elegance.

Crafted from teak wood with beautiful natural grain, the table is fitted with a practical extension mechanism that allows the tabletop to be quickly and easily extended with a single leaf, increasing its length from 147 cm to 192 cm. The table retains its original maker’s label.

The table has undergone comprehensive woodworking restoration. The wooden elements were stripped of the old coating, stained in a rosewood colour, and finished with a durable high-quality semi-matt lacquer. This finish enhances the natural beauty of the teak grain, enriches the depth of colour, and provides long-lasting surface protection.
