Description

This set of six iconic Model 3101 “Ant” chairs was designed by Arne Jacobsen for the renowned Danish furniture manufacturer Fritz Hansen. First introduced in 1952, the model is regarded as one of the icons of international design and a symbol of Scandinavian modernism. The distinctive organic shape of the seat, inspired by the silhouette of an ant, combined with the slender chrome-plated base, gives the chairs a timeless and exceptionally light appearance.
The seats are made from moulded plywood finished with teak veneer. The chairs have undergone professional woodworking restoration. The wood was stripped of the old coating, stained in an oak colour, and finished with a durable high-quality semi-matt lacquer, which enhances the natural beauty of the wood and provides long-lasting surface protection.
The chrome-plated steel legs were carefully cleaned and polished, restoring their original shine. The set retains its original maker’s labels.
