Art Deco Oak Freestanding Desk by Gunnar Ericsson for Facit AB Buromöbel Zurich, Switzerland, 1960s

A large oak executive desk designed by Gunnar Ericsson, Atvidaberg, for the Swiss manufacturer Facit AB Buromöbel Zurich in the 1950s. The desk is characterized by its unique, rounded, contoured shape. The drawers have rounded bottoms. The desk is functional, consisting of two drawer modules with multiple drawers. The left module contains a small pull-out tabletop. The black glass has been replaced with a new one. Two original central locks lock all drawers. The desk includes a key. The desk has undergone a comprehensive renovation, has been cleaned of its old surface, painted with oak stain, and finished with a strong semi-matt varnish.
