Swedish Garden Bench in cast iron from Melins, 1950s

This cast iron bench was made by Melins metal foundry, Anderstorp in Sweden in the 1960s. A bench after a comprehensive renovation of cast iron and wooden elements. The cast iron casting was renewed, cleaned of the old coating. Primed with epoxy primer. Painted with polyurethane paint. Wooden elements were replaced with new ones. Beech wood, stained with an oak stain, secured with a strong yacht varnish. The bench is protected against weather conditions.
