This freestanding desk was manufactured in Denmark during the 1960s. The piece is an excellent example of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design, combining a minimalist form with outstanding functionality and high-quality craftsmanship. Thanks to its beautifully finished back, the desk can also be positioned in the centre of a room, presenting equally well from every angle.
The desk is crafted from teak wood and teak veneer. It features six spacious drawers positioned on both sides, as well as a lockable bar compartment and bookshelves located on the front side. The characteristic rounded edges, subtly sculpted handles, and slender shaped legs give the piece an elegant and timeless appearance, typical of the finest Danish furniture design of the 1960s.
The desk has undergone professional woodworking restoration. The wooden elements were stripped of the old coating, stained in an oak colour, and finished with a durable high-quality semi-matt lacquer, which enhances the natural beauty of the teak grain and provides excellent resistance for everyday use.
