A set of four Danish Model J62 armchairs designed by Poul M. Volther for the Danish design cooperative FDB Møbler in the 1960s.
The J 62 model is for its exceptional seating comfort, achieved through its ergonomically shaped backrest and comfortable armrests. Its slender silhouette and visually lightweight construction are characteristic features of Danish Mid-Century Modern design.
The chairs are crafted from solid oak wood. The frames have undergone a comprehensive restoration process: the wood was carefully stripped of its old finish and then treated with a high-quality wax that enhances the natural grain pattern while providing an elegant satin finish.
The upholstery has been completely renewed, with new padding installed and both the seats and backrests reupholstered in a premium-quality green fabric.
The chairs retain their original “Made in Denmark / FDB Møbler” manufacturer’s stamps, confirming their authenticity and provenance.
