The PH 4/3 pendant lamp was designed by Poul Henningsen for the renowned Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen. Introduced in 1966, the model is a development of Henningsen’s iconic PH lighting system, originally conceived in 1929. The original design received the highest award at the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition and is widely regarded as one of the most influential achievements in the history of modern lighting design.
The PH 4/3 features Henningsen’s signature three-shade system, based on a logarithmic spiral. This carefully engineered construction distributes light evenly while concealing the light source, creating soft, glare-free illumination. Its clean, timeless form allows the lamp to complement Scandinavian, Mid-Century Modern and contemporary interiors alike.
This example was manufactured in Denmark during the 1960s and remains in very good condition. The wiring has been replaced with new, ensuring the lamp is fully functional and ready for use. It is fitted for an E27 bulb with a maximum wattage of 60 W.
