Mid-Century PH5 Pendant Lamp by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen, Denmark, 1960s

The PH 5 pendant lamp was designed by Poul Henningsen for the renowned Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen. Introduced in 1958, it remains one of the most iconic lighting designs ever created and a true symbol of twentieth-century Danish design.

The lamp features Henningsen’s signature multi-shade system, developed to provide soft, evenly diffused, glare-free illumination. The carefully proportioned shades effectively shield the light source while distributing light comfortably and efficiently, creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere. It is made of white lacquered aluminium and is preserved in excellent condition. The wiring has been replaced with new, and the lamp has been professionally inspected by an electrician, ensuring it is fully functional and ready for use.
