Mid-Century Round Extendable Oak Dining Table by Farstrup Møbler, Denmark, 1970s

2,190.00

This round extendable dining table was manufactured by the renowned Danish furniture maker Farstrup Møbler in the 1970s. The model is distinguished by its clean, timeless design, characteristic of Scandinavian furniture, where elegant aesthetics are perfectly balanced with outstanding functionality.

Crafted from beautifully natural grained oak, the table features a round tabletop measuring 120 cm in diameter when closed. Thanks to two extension leaves, it can be extended to 170 cm or 220 cm, creating a spacious oval dining surface that comfortably accommodates larger gatherings. The top is supported by a substantial base with two distinctive pedestal columns terminating in sculpted feet, ensuring excellent stability while providing generous legroom.

The table has undergone a comprehensive professional restoration. The wooden surfaces were stripped of the old finish, stained in an oak tone, and refinished with a high-quality semi-matt lacquer that enhances the natural beauty and depth of the wood grain while providing durable protection.
