Mid-Century Teak Dressing Table from the iconic Fresco range, designed by Victor Wilkins for the renowned British manufacturer G-Plan in the 1960s. This model is an excellent example of Mid-Century Modern design, combining elegant proportions, exceptional craftsmanship and the timeless aesthetic that made the Fresco collection one of G-Plan’s most celebrated furniture ranges.
The dressing table is crafted from beautifully grained teak. On either side of the top are pedestal cabinets, each fitted with two spacious drawers featuring the collection’s characteristic, subtly sculpted solid teak handles. Above the tabletop is a large adjustable mirror set within a teak frame, allowing the angle to be easily adjusted for comfortable everyday use.
The piece has undergone a comprehensive professional restoration. The wooden surfaces were stripped of the old finish, stained in an oak tone, and refinished with a high-quality semi-matt lacquer that enhances the natural beauty of the wood while providing durable protection. The mirror has been replaced with a new one.
