This teak dressing table was designed by Arne Vodder for the renowned Danish manufacturer Ølholm Møbelfabrik in the 1960s. It is an excellent example of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design, combining an elegant, lightweight form with outstanding functionality and the meticulous attention to detail that characterizes the work of one of Denmark’s most celebrated furniture designers.
Crafted from beautifully grained teak, the dressing table features a slender frame supported by tapered legs, giving the piece a refined and visually light appearance. Three practical drawers provide convenient storage for cosmetics, jewellery and other everyday accessories, while the subtly shaped drawer fronts enhance the sophisticated character of the design.
The dressing table is fitted with an adjustable mirror in its original teak frame, allowing the angle to be easily adjusted for comfortable use. A striking black glass top adds a distinctive decorative element, creating an elegant contrast with the warm tones of the teak.
The piece has undergone a comprehensive professional restoration. The wooden surfaces were stripped of the old finish and refinished with high-quality Danish oil, enhancing the natural beauty and grain of the teak while providing durable protection. The mirror and the black glass top have both been replaced with new ones.
