Mid-Century Teak Extendable Dining Table from McIntosh, United Knigdom, 1960s

1,790.00

Rectangular extending dining table manufactured by the British furniture maker McIntosh in the 1960s, representing an excellent example of the elegant modernist design of the period. Its light, refined form and subtly shaped corners give the piece a timeless and sophisticated character.

Crafted from teak wood, the table showcases the warm tones and delicate grain patterns characteristic of this highly prized material. It features a simple and functional extension mechanism, allowing the additional leaf to slide out smoothly and remain neatly stored within the table when not in use.

The table has undergone a comprehensive restoration. The surface was stripped of its old finish, painted in an oak tone, and protected with a durable semi-matt lacquer that enhances the natural beauty of the wood.

The table retains its original maker’s label. When extended, the tabletop length increases from 120 cm to 165 cm.
