Mid-Century Teak Extending Dining Table by Ib Kofod-Larsen for G-Plan, United Kingdom, 1960s

This rectangular extending dining table was designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen for the renowned British furniture manufacturer G-Plan during the 1960s.
The table is crafted from teak wood. Its distinctive solid wood edging, subtly sculpted lower rails, and slender tapered legs give the piece a light and elegant appearance. The table features two extension leaves stored neatly beneath the tabletop, allowing its length to be increased from 152 cm to 198 cm, or to a maximum of 244 cm, providing ample space for a larger number of guests.
The table has undergone professional woodworking restoration. The wooden elements were stripped of the old coating, stained in an oak colour, and finished with a durable high-quality semi-matt lacquer, which enhances the natural beauty of the teak grain and provides excellent resistance for everyday use.
The table retains its original maker’s label, confirming its authenticity.
