Chair No. 14 is the most famous chair of the originally German firm Thonet, that later relocated to Vienna. Designed by its founder Michael Thonet in 1859. This set of 4 No. 14 chairs was produced by Josef Hoffmann, around 1900. Marked with paper label under the seat. The chairs have been renovated, with the wood cleaned of its old surface, painted with rosewood stain, and finished with a semi-matte varnish. The chairs have been inspected and are stable. The rattan is in very good original condition.
